@kaylameeechel: I really wish medically complex kids came with a “put yourself to bed” setting because tonight… I am DONE. 😂😭 Some nights our nighttime routine is pretty uneventful. Meds, diaper, getting comfortable, pulse ox on, make sure everything is where it needs to be, and we call it a night. And then there are nights like tonight. Neuro storming, seizure activity, laughing spells, trying to figure out what he needs, repositioning him 47 times, watching numbers, watching him, questioning every little thing, and basically just waiting for his body and brain to decide they’re ready to settle down. Meanwhile, little brother has apparently decided bedtime is a personal attack and is acting an absolute FOOL. 😂 So I’m bouncing back and forth between one kid who genuinely cannot just put himself to bed and another who absolutely CAN but has apparently decided he simply will not. 🙃 I love these boys more than anything on this earth, but whewww… some nights kick my ass. Tonight is one of those nights. Everybody please just GO TO BED. Mama has officially clocked all the way out. 😂😭🌙 #bedtimeroutine #medicallycomplex #epilepsy #caregiver #specialneedsmom
