They never call for missed jury duty. They would issue a bench warrant and send the sheriff/police to pick you up.

That’s crazy please never say yes or no when they ask your name or question .. i don’t take calls I don’t know who it is .. I would have hung up & blocked the number !!

One reason they keep you on the phone as long as possible is to get you to share more personal information. They can only gather so much from the Internet, but if you tell them about a recent city where you’re living or similar details, they can craft a more elaborate scam to steal money from you.

Ugh people are awful! I get scam phone calls almost every single day which I don’t answer, but they leave voicemails talking about a home equity loan I’m approved for and they just need to finalize the paperwork. It’s always a different loan amount with a different interest rate. Obviously a scam but it’s sad to think how people they are actually scamming.

This scam has been going around for a long time and it’s when they have you driving to turn yourself in that they tell you to pull over and then that’s when they want you to pay to get out of the fine so you don’t go to jail.
