@journey.beyond.40: Seven seats across, upstairs on the BA A380. The one in the middle has no aisle access, faces backwards and puts you face to face with a stranger every time the privacy screen is down for take off and landing. It is possibly been the most argued and controversial seat in business class for over 20 years and it flies the route I fly most often, between Johannesburg, in South African and London Heathrow airport. @british_airways started pulling this interior out this year and apparently every Club World seat is being replaced by a suite and the full upper deck will only be business class, in a 1-2-1 configuration. Every seat with doors and the roll out should be completed by 2027. If the rumours are true, one of the A380’s will be removed from the Johannesburg to London route in October and replaced with a smaller aircraft - only someone @british_airways would be able to confirm that for sure or not. Please note that British Airways has two different types of business class. The one you showed is the older one that are on specific flights. You can see which business class you are booking when you go for your seat selection. The goal eventually is that they’re gonna get rid of all the old ones and updated with a new one.
