I think we’ve become far too comfortable announcing things before they’ve actually happened. The business you’re about to start. The house you’re trying to buy. Deal with the setbacks. And allow something to become real before you feel the need to make it public. Not everything needs to be hidden forever. But everything doesn’t need to be announced while it’s still being built either. There’s wisdom in protecting something when it’s still fragile. Especially when you understand that envy and the evil eye are real. You don’t need everyone watching the process. You don’t need everyone validating the plan. And you definitely don’t need everyone having an opinion on something Allah hasn’t even completed for you yet. Sometimes the best feeling is working towards something for months without saying a word... And then one day simply saying: Alhamdulillah. It’s done. Let people celebrate the result. They didn’t always need access to the journey.
