📍 2150 Beach Street, San Francisco, CA I stumbled across this house in San Francisco, just around the corner from the Palace of Fine Arts, and honestly had to do a double take when I found out who had lived here. This was Joe DiMaggio’s home — the legendary New York Yankees baseball player, nicknamed “The Yankee Clipper.” ⚾️ And then comes the really crazy part… After Joe married Marilyn Monroe in San Francisco in January 1954 the newlyweds came back here and lived together. Yes… Marilyn Monroe actually lived in this house. 😳 She even put this address down as her home address on her passport shortly after their wedding. Their marriage was incredibly short-lived, lasting just nine months, but their relationship went on to become one of the most famous romances in Hollywood history. Apparently Marilyn was even seen washing Joe’s car outside the house and sunbathing in the backyard. Can you imagine living next door and casually seeing Marilyn Monroe wandering around the garden?! 😂 I’d actually visited Joe DiMaggio’s grave in a previous post, so finding the house where he lived and where he briefly lived with Marilyn made this one feel particularly special. And the house itself? You’d probably walk straight past it without ever realising the history behind it. Just a normal-looking San Francisco house… with a VERY not-normal Hollywood story. 🎬❤️ Would you have known Marilyn Monroe lived here? #sanfrancisco #marilynmonroe #oldhollywood #hollywood #fyp
