Why did the Nepal government initially refuse or delay the assistance offered by Malaysia? Malaysia had rescue personnel, including the SMART team and K9 capabilities, ready to assist. If the team was already on standby and prepared to fly, why was precious time lost? We are now on Day 7, and families are still desperately waiting for news about the 17 missing Malaysians. Every hour matters in a search-and-rescue operation. This is not just paperwork or logistics these are human lives, and their families are waiting for them to come home. We sincerely hope the Nepal authorities will give full cooperation to Malaysia and allow every available rescue capability to be used immediately.
