I’ve been watching your competition for a long time, and I already knew that the People’s Choice voting would be taken all the way to the Top 6, even before you turned it into what feels like a “cooking show.” I could still accept it if the People’s Choice were limited to the Top 12. But taking it all the way to the Top 6 makes the competition feel increasingly unfair. As for the Multimedia Challenge, shouldn’t it be about recognizing contestants with strong engagement, creativity, consistency, and genuine social-media impact? Yet the judging criteria have not been made clear or transparent enough. Beauty With a Purpose should also focus on the quality, impact, and authenticity of each contestant’s project—not simply on contestants from countries with stronger voting power or the ability to mobilize large numbers of votes. Miss World is supposed to be one of the biggest and most prestigious beauty competitions in the world. But with the way some of these results and systems are being handled, it is becoming difficult to see it as worthy of the Big 5 status. If this continues, many countries may seriously reconsider whether participating in Miss World is still worthwhile.
