I don’t know if it is only me, but I sometimes feel that we lived through some of the most beautiful times in our societies. There were days when families gathered around the fireside, sharing stories, laughter, and life itself. There was little dependence on modern technology or artificial sources of light, yet people seemed more connected than ever. The advent of technology has undoubtedly brought tremendous benefits and made life easier in many ways. But sadly, it has also come with a price. Today, everyone seems to be glued to a phone or a screen. Family conversations have diminished, community bonds are weakening, and the sense of togetherness that once defined our societies appears to be fading. Sometimes, I miss those simpler days—the days when people sat together, talked to one another, shared moments, and genuinely enjoyed each other’s company. Gone are the days. Gone, but certainly not forgotten. What beautiful and memorable times they were.
