We are still waiting to hear from ENT and General Surgery about the exact date and time for Veya's tracheostomy and PD catheter procedures. Both surgeries are expected to happen sometime next week, so hopefully we will have a clearer picture soon of what the next phase of her journey will look like. One of the bigger decisions today involved Veya's blood pressure support. Her blood pressures have continued to run a little softer than the team would like, and after a lot of discussion they decided to increase her hydrocortisone from 3 mg every 2 hours back up to 6 mg every 8 hours. Hopefully this adjustment will help provide more stable blood pressure support as her care team continues to monitor her closely.
