But performance isn’t the only story. 💸 Lower cost Anthropic estimates Fable 5.1 will cost around 25% less than Fable 5 for typical token-billed workloads. For highly agentic work, savings can reach around 45% thanks partly to cheaper cache reads. ⚙️ Smarter effort controls Claude Code defaults Fable 5.1 to High effort, while Claude.ai and Claude Cowork default to Medium effort.
