I agree Rape we class as a violent attack. I explain it as sexual assault. No violence used because sometimes we just freeze, sometimes we can’t say no and sometimes we do yet it still happens. But our body language screams NO 😢 sending you love and strength

At least 3 times, 1 rape by a ex ,1 SA by a man I knew and the other by a stranger in a bar . Not counting the times I’m have my skirt pulled up or my breast touched

As I got older I got to know it happens to all the women you know, your mum, your auntie, your best friend, your teacher. It’s insane that the strongest women I’ve come into contact with have been so seriously violated. It’s terrifying. My heart goes out to all of you in these comments 😢 ❤️

And the men always seem to get away with it, despite tons of evidence showing his character. Saying no multiple times means nothing apparently, as my trauma response is 'fawn' as informed by a therapist. I was told that because I wasn't angry (how can you get angry with someone you're scared of) and also the CPS gaslit me and said he may not have realised you meant no, if someone is trying to keep their clothes on and saying no multiple times...that means no...simple. Any decent person would stop!! But even in this situation it 100% was too she went along with it as kicking off would make her even more unsafe and like she says the power struggle. It is so sad and I hope all these 'men' are convicted but it doesn't work like that unfortunately. In England and Wales the conviction for R & SA is 3.8% 😡💔
