Subject: My 1-Year Journey with Minoxidil: Frequent Transitions, Severe Shedding, and Underlying DeficienciesHello, I would like to share my long and turbulent experience with Minoxidil to seek your advice and guidance, as I am currently feeling extremely overwhelmed and confused.1. The Beginning & Timeline (Switching Concentrations)My journey with Minoxidil started exactly one year ago, in October of last year. I initially began with a 2% Minoxidil spray. After using it for several months, I decided to switch to a stronger dose. On April 3rd, I transitioned to 5% topical liquid Minoxidil (spray).2. Recent Switch & Unexpected ShockRecently, on August 16th, I modified my regimen once again. I switched from the 5% liquid spray to 5% Kirkland Minoxidil Foam (imported from the US).3. Persistent Shedding & High Hair Count LossThe biggest concern troubling me is that I have not noticed any positive results or a reduction in shedding over the past 10 months. On the contrary, the shedding has been continuous and alarming, worsening after every product transition. Currently, I am losing approximately 200 hairs per day. Even more shocking, a few days ago, I washed and combed my hair after leaving it unbrushed for just one day, and I was devastated to see around 600 hairs fall out all at once!4. Current Hair Condition & Family HistoryRight now, my hair looks significantly thinned out. There are thin, weak, miniaturized hairs in the middle of my scalp, and noticeable gaps/thin patches become very prominent and distressing when my hair is wet. It is worth noting that I do not have a typical pattern of male/female pattern baldness. My hair loss began at age 16 (I am now 19 years old), and there is a family history of universal/total hair loss (Alopecia Totalis/Universalis) on my mother's side.5. Lab Test Results & Internal TriggersI recently did some blood tests and discovered significant internal deficiencies that might be preventing Minoxidil from working effectively:Vitamin D Deficiency: My level is severely low at 12.94 ng/mL (optimal levels are above 30).Low Ferritin (Iron Stores): My ferritin level is 27.80 ng/mL (optimal hair growth typically requires levels above 50–7
