Thank you for this. I’m 73 and lost my dad 52 years ago and not a day goes by that I don’t think of him. I’d give up ALL the years I have left, for just 1 minute to tell him how much he did for me and I was too foolish to realize it. And to tell him how much I love him. But we’ll meet again someday and I’ll tell him then!

My dad died almost a year ago. It will be a year on October 17th. I don’t know how I made it this far without him. He was my everything call, and he always answered. Always came and always fixed things. I miss him so much and I can’t stop crying because I don’t know how I’m going to go through the rest of my life without him 💔

My daughter turned 18 this year. a life so busy we don't get to see her as much anymore. I get it. It's part of the deal. But, last night she managed the store closing on her own for the first time. She did great. I knew she would. The greatest part was, the first thing she did, after doing something that made her genuinely proud of herself, she called her parents. Out of the 1000s of contacts she has across all social media, she thought of us telling us first. Made my night. There's not a lot I've gotten right in this life, but that, at least I got right.

I don’t eat at McDonald’s. My elderly dad doesn’t get out much, but he loves McDonald’s fish sandwiches. He lets me know when they’re running a deal on them. We’ve had a rocky life. Not very close early on, but now I’m his POA and healthcare advocate. I know, one day, I’ll miss getting updates on McDonald’s fish sandwiches.

I used to call my Dad on Friday nights, when I knew my Mom would be working , so I could talk to him on the phone without hurting my Mom’s feelings. I miss him so much.
