As a teacher I need my phone to log into the system I need in order to do my job.
But more importantly, when did society decide that professional adults have to have the same rules as literal children?

As a teacher with a master's degree. Why am I being held to the same standards as a child. I drink coffee but don't expect a child to.

the kids did this to themselves. put it on silence, check it between classes or at lunch. keep it out of sight and this wouldn't be a problem.

Teachers are adults. Students are children. Our middle school just put into effect that teachers cannot eat in their classrooms (even if they choose to eat alone and work) and can only bring water in to drink. Why do people treat teachers like children????

Business owner here- I don’t allow use of phones during work hours. 🤷🏻♀️I’m not paying you to be on TikTok or text your buddy. 😉 This isn’t an issue grown people have but teens do.

Teachers are adults. That’s the problem with today’s world. Kids need to learn and listen, not compare it to what an adult is doing.

I’m an adult! This is the problem with parents now: they think teachers and students should be treated the same.

that's also how we teachers get emergency notifications about lockdowns or holds. maybe if parents had parented their children from being on their phones during school learning we wouldn't be here now.

We also need our phones near incase of lockdowns. That is how admin communicates in emergencies that they need to be off the radios for.
