i habe been sepereated almost 10 years i struggled with kids having to claim benefits etc he has a 60,000 a year job and house etc my dad died recently and left me half his estate whats tge likely hood the ex could get anything bearing in mind I have lived on the bread line and struggled and he just hasn't. also his gran died and he hid his inheritance in his brother's name.

It’s called a trust! Can’t touch it at all if there is a trust done properly . Also for child support they are not entitled to to the principle of inheritance only if you invest the inheritance and it goes up are they entitled to capital gain . For the most part if you put it in a trust they can’t ever touch it
