The bodies at this location would have been completely obliterated and dismembered 😭 all i can think about are the people in the small hotels that I think were here, who were either sleeping, in showers, on the toilet etc etc 😭

In 1845, a huge flood hit the Elbe/Labe valley between Dresden and Prague, just as they were about to start building a first railway there. They were only allowed to start construction after redesigning the whole thing so the train tracks would have stayed above that flood. Since then, many floods have touched the valley, two of them reaching as high as the 1845 one. None have touched the rails. Ever. When rebuilding the streets and villages, do the same. Please.

"rescue" is too late now. China as usual soft pedalling it and not reporting deaths. Everyone in that building is gone and if you didn't look for a week, you are less likely to find even the bodies that probably got washed up several miles downstream.
