Girl I am a local and have lived here all my life. I call it kneepa. I personally don’t care if you say kneepa or N E P A but saying locals don’t call it kneepa is just plain wrong.

You probably pronounce the “t” in Scranton too. Born and raised in north Scranton and we’ve always called it nepa not spelled out. And we don’t say hayna or heyna. It’s more of an enna or no
