Taking our total to 52 women who’s lives were stolen in an act of violence this year, mostly by men they knew, loved and trusted. And whilst our governments strip funding from desperately needed support and resources, refuses a royal commission into the killing of women and girls, and misogyny continues to rise in young boys, what will it take for these women’s lives to matter? What will it take for the male violence epidemic and the murdering of woman and girls to become an immediate priority because our lives depend on it? We’re collectively so tired of demanding our government to care about the safety of women. What is it going to take?
