@imam.in.italia: So, there are weddings taking place where immodest and indecent practices are occurring. On some occasions, we have even been informed that, under the pretext that “it is only the girls,” dancing has taken place. And under the pretext that “only family members are present,” the groom himself has also danced together with his wife. These are rare incidents, but extremely dangerous doors are being opened. If these doors are not closed and such practices become customary in the future, then the generations to come will curse those who opened these doors, and they will be held responsible before God. It is no excuse to say, “There is no one else; it is only us. What does it matter what happens in front of us?” In reality, these things are a manifestation of the fact that the awe of someone other than Allah has already entered the heart. They see certain practices in non-religious societies, and they develop a strong desire to do the same themselves. Once the heart begins to desire something, one becomes attached to whatever has captured the heart. Then it is merely a matter of finding an opportunity—whether one secretly indulges in it behind closed doors or does so openly in front of people. As far as the desire of the heart is concerned, the act has already taken place. The fact that something is not forbidden in one particular setting does not mean that it is permitted in society as a whole. Eating something secretly is just as forbidden as eating it openly. Therefore, if certain customs are absurd and are Dajjali customs, then whether you practice them openly in front of everyone or secretly, the evil and deceptive nature of those customs will certainly manifest itself, and they will inevitably destroy your spirituality.
