@dougweaverart: Its good to see that some people's views might be changing, but they shouldn't pretend that they didn't vote for this mess. #tt #maga #Trump #politics
In 10, 15, 20 years you’ll be hard pressed to find anyone who’ll admit voting for trump.

I highly suspect people like that only change their opinion once they're personally impacted. Before that, they didn't pay much attention because they were okay with other people being affected, never stopping to think that maybe one day they will see consequences too.

I have been saying this for years. When all this eventuality settles, the denial is going to be WILD. His once staunchest supporters will deny ever voting for him or supporting him.

The banality of evil. They'll stand by and be a cog in the machinery of evil if the time comes. They might not be loud and proud maga anymore, but they're still very much maga supporters

I live in quebec (canada) and i can tell you that some people post shit on the far right (covid, trump etc) and as soon as i see that, you are blocked and unfriended. I cannot live with that level of stupidity ... ever again.

More people need to be okay admitting when they're wrong. It's good practice to start with smaller stuff, imo it makes it easier to be wrong about the bigger stuff.

Have you read One Day, Everyone Will have Always Been Against This by Omar El Akkad. It’s eye opening. So many political stances and retractions of previous statements and actions my sense now.

Mostly agree. I think it’s worth acknowledging that a shift in thinking doesn’t happen as quickly as a curtain falling. When people stop speaking so they can listen, I think it can be harmful to immediately take the opportunity to scold them. It’s a delicate balance.

It might not even be that their kids are judging them, it could be their kids are suffering at school because of it.
