On the 26th April 1980 Laureen’s mum Judith went out to a tennis tournament and Laureen declined to go. She stayed home alone. She chilled with friends until after midnight. And Laureen can’t tell us what happened next.. because she vanished. When her mum arrived home she found someone had unscrewed every single lightbulb in the apartment. There were no signs of a struggle in the apartment and none of Laureen’s belongings were missing. Judith flagged down a police car but no-one could find the missing girl. There were a bunch of other mysterious disappearances nearby around a similar time, but police insist they aren’t related. One was just a month prior to Laureen’s disappearance, this was a girl called Rachel Garden. In 1984, another teenager Shirley McBride also vanished from New Hampshire As if Laureen’s case wasn’t creepy enough, that October, Judith began to get mysterious phone calls in the middle of the night, and when she picked up, it seemed like there was no-one there.
