I feel this so much. It’s been about a year since things ended with the person I truly thought was my epic, destined great love. I’m so sorry. Realizing this so close to a planned wedding can feel like losing both the person and the future you had pictured. It is okay to grieve it deeply. But seeing the truth now —even though it hurts— is not a failure. A marriage should not require you to ignore what your heart, your experiences, or your peace have been trying to tell you. You deserve a love that is real, and mutual… not one you have to convince yourself is enough.
