I wonder if they used the same thought process when the FDA decided it was okay that general Mills added industrial degreaser to their cereals (trisodium phosphate), or secretions from a beaver's anal gland (castoreum) to make "natural flavoring"(obviously I know there are several other toxic additives in foods commonly consumed by children ( Then you have the BPA and PFAS in the packaging... I remember back in the '80s when they were telling us that switching plastic was going to save the trees 🤦 sadly,when it comes to baby /toddler toys, there are very few that aren't carcinogenic. there are only like 4-5 toy companies that don't use phthalates, BPA, etc.. I wonder how that became okay 🤔 what sucks is there so many women who are reliant on these toxic infant formulas, because it's what WIC pays for. and WIC doesn't pay for these options because they are the best quality/healthiest options, because the company's lobbied the government to be the approved option. ugh.
