@coachdango: Your legs determine your brain health. Not your arms. Not your chest. Your legs. A 10-year study on identical twins found that higher leg power predicted better cognitive function and more brain gray matter volume a decade later. Even among identical twins. So it's not genetics. It's the muscle itself. Weak legs mean a weak brain. Squats, hip thrusts, lunges. That's it. Build your legs now. Protect your brain later. Most people train upper body and ignore their legs. Their brains suffer because of it. How strong are your legs? - Dan #CoachDanGo #Fitness #health

west is always obsessed with "picking absolutr winner" and correlation is treated as causal. world is a lot more complex than that. these 'get young and earn brain matter" with leg days make no sense

My grandmother never did any strenuous exercises, but she always walked. As long as I remember, she put on her good shoes and she walked and walked and walked. She died when she was ninety-eight. She was walking till the last day

Someone on here said to do 20 squats everyday after you eat. I’ve been doing that and I’m amazed how much easier it is now to go down to pick up something off the floor then get right up. It’s only been about a month of this. Highly recommended.

My grandfather had 3 heart attacks the last being a quadruple by-pass in his late 60's/early 70's. A third of his heart didn't work so great. He walked BRISKLY for at least 60 mins EVERY DAY. That man lived till 92! And he was active and walking almost till the end! WALKING is sooooo good for you!

Probably has to do with the fact people who have stronger legs tend to be more mobile. People who are more mobile tend to also move around a lot meaning they go places more, do things more and as a result probably engage their brains more often with different experiences daily. So it’s not so much that leg muscles directly improve your brain, so much as it is about how leg strength affects your daily quality of life.
