@skyscrapercityceb: Halos di na makita ang syudad, as seen from Pardo As of Sept 2, 2026 due to Indonesian wild fires Metro Cebu is experiencing worsening air quality, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) reportedly reaching 203, classified as โAcutely Unhealthy.โ The reading is higher than the level recorded the previous day. The elevated AQI is linked to increased levels of fine particulate matter (PM2.5), which can pose health risks, especially with prolonged exposure outdoors. The hazy conditions come amid widespread forest fires in Kalimantan, Indonesian Borneo, which have generated significant smoke across parts of Southeast Asia. Reports indicate that prevailing winds may be carrying the haze northward toward the Philippines, with portions of the Visayas including Cebu among the areas being monitored Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival urged residents to take precautions as unhealthy air conditions persist, particularly children, seniors, and those with respiratory or heart conditions. Residents are advised to limit outdoor activities and strenuous exercise, keep doors and windows closed when possible, and use air-conditioning on recirculation mode. Those who need to go outside are encouraged to wear properly fitted N95 or KN95 masks for better protection against fine particles. The public should also stay hydrated, watch for breathing-related symptoms, and monitor official air quality updates. #MetroCebu #AirQuality #AirPollution #PM25 #AmpingSugbo
