I think ur zz needs more room. I know their rhizomes get fairly large like a giant potato underneath the soil. Not too sure how big the duck is but it looks pretty shallow. Zzs thrive off neglect and low lighting. I recommend them to people who kill plants fast bc u can forget about them like snake plants and they thrive.

Girrrrllll same! I left mine alone for years barely watering it! It became root bound, I gently repotted it. It’s dying….dying….acting like I poured acid on it …. Going to put it in a corner and check on it in 2027

That mallard may not have the appropriate drainage. You can neglect ZZs but you not supposed to murder them

Put it in a corner and ignore it for a few months. I swear it will flourish. Only water when it is absolutely bone dry. I can relate because I like to baby my plants too!

Nice corner! 🪴 I’ve learned to have all my plants in pot liners and placing it in a cute pot. So there’s good drainage and you can easily check the roots. With this ZZ Id take it out, check the roots on the existing ones. It’s still got life!

I’m the same way! 😅 Any Succulent, zz and snake plant. I’m horrible at caring for. I forget about them because they don’t need that much care. Make it make sense lol
