Your spot on. In Massachusetts, our child protection service ,DCYF, they are horrible. So many kids are lost, and put in danger because the system here is a sad joke as well. I feel so bad for you, they should have stopped it!!

It was one and done for my sister. Her (now ex) was abusing their infant son. Found out on xrays. They came to the hospital. Took the kids. Arrested him. She had to prove she didnt know about it to get her kids back.

Worked as a physician on a child abuse team. You are absolutely correct. The number of times I had to see a child in clinic I knew was living in a terrible environment where CPS was involved but couldn’t do anything was crazy.
