People keep complaining about her having dance experience. Just because someone has dance experience doesn’t mean they have ballroom experience or have ever done the jive, paso doble, tango. Give people some grace! I’ve been watching DWTS since it came out and it was so much peaceful without trolls giving their opinions

nobody watched when Val said he didnt know hip hop dancing with Zendaya and had commented once in his early pro years how he had never done an Argentine tango? being a dancer doesn't mean you perfected all styles or have done every dance out there. a jazz dancer cant just step into ballet shoes and take first place simply because they've danced before and same goes for ballroom.

Ballroom is a different breed so having prior experience in hip hop, ballet, modern or whatever dance genre is still learning a from the bottom. However, having prior dance experience does make it easier for them to learn it. They already know how to count and have some sort of rhythm. Every contestant that had prior experience has made the finals and or won. Charlie Dilemilo, Alphonso Ribeiro, Whitney Leavitt, Zendaya and so on. So it does help a lot.
