This is out of my comfort zone, but this song has been plastered into my mind for days. My pastor preached “Finish how you started” this Sunday, and this thought has not left me. I have found that as Christians, we can sometimes get so “spoiled” in the life that God has given us, that we begin going through the motions of worship, rather than the heart posture of worship. It is unfortunate that we find in many churches that the newer converts are the ones quickest to raise their hands, quickest to jump and shout… but this song sums it up so perfect- when you have an appreciation of where the Lord brought you from, your worship looks different. Imagine what church would look like if every single person was as on fire for God as they were the first day they encountered Him. Imagine what worship would look like if we brought that same appreciation of where He has brought us from every. single. service. Lord, let us never get so comfortable in where you brought us to that we forget where you brought us FROM. (Henry had a little solo at the end, or was yelling at me to stop singing)
