High cadence is for small runners, I’m 6 ft 1 with long legs I definitely do not need a cadence of more than 160

speed and length of legs play a big role too so just going off numbers isnt always best, i recommend doing some short easy sessions in shoes with 0 support and almost none or no heel drop, or just barefoot, this should force you out of overstriding and lets you feel how you are supposed to be running.

My cadence is 150-162 but I am fairly tall and can still complete a 1:26 half so I guess it’s different for different people

So the pace doesn't matter? If I do an easy run with 6:00/km I should aim for 190 cadence? Generalizing this is so ridiculous. With this video beginners are thinking they should aim for 180-190 cadence with a 7:00-8:00/km pace 🤦

I’m usually 130 and 140. I’m putting on a metronome and I’m doing 160 first

Did my first ever 10k today in 1:10:00 and literally my cadence was 150. I’m still learning

I'm a slow runner and mine is about 150-165. rn I'm working on running longer and faster.
