People say changing the past to restore the present to the Og timeline has more problems than max growing up on the isle bc the queen of hearts killed many people and was a tyrant and I agree to an extent…even though in rise of red all they had to do was go back for the queen of hearts attacked Auradon. In think in D5 this should happened: Hazel and Felix are the result of the timeline being new addition to their families ( even though I liked that they existed in the Og as well) along with max growing up on the isle to become friends with them and at the end Red gives the watch to max to make a decision to to restore everything but max is conflicted between his old nice life or his friends with Hazel, Felix, and the Smee twins and with that he throws the watch into the fountain choosing this new timeline. To me that fits better with what the foundations of what descendants was built on
