I had to chime in on this when you mentioned PCOS as I suffer with it. I haven’t been prescribed ozempic but it is an amazing medication for women suffering with PCOS, especially those that are insulin resistant. PCOS is a real medical condition, it would be ideal if diet & exercise helped but it does sometimes need proper medication and no one should ever be shamed for that. It’s also one of few medications available to treat obesity. Obese patients have spent decades being shamed by doctors (and everyone really!) and now they’re still being shamed for accessing healthcare. It’s not as simple as “diet and exercise” for everyone, it would be great if it was. Ozempic use may be abused by some but I can guarantee that the majority of patients using it are genuine cases and should not be shamed for doing so.
