Wow! I totally agree with your advice. Furthermore, if you really feel like he would do anything to your daughter then have a discussion with said daughter? It’s possible it is already happening.

Unfortunately having the mother in the house has not been a deterrent for many. If he was going to do it he already is

if there is ANY CHANCE he might harm the child because she isn't there, DONT LEAVE THE DAUGHTER THERE WITH HIM. period. if this is something the mom is just tossing out there or due to her past trauma, she needs to do better

Her wanting to give full custody to him and believing he will SA the daughter cannot both be true. There’s no way I would stay with a man that I believed would SA my child. Leave him, take the kids, move to California. I don’t know the legal logistics, but that’s what my plan would be.

I personally feel based on the commentary that was provided that it is more likely than not that the husband is really a good guy, and the wife is finding derogatory things to say about him to damage his character because he has for many years probably prioritize his family financial stability over her feelings and wishes because if any of this was true, if she did leave, the kids would go with her regardless of the medical benefits she’s benefiting from being in Canada and being with her husband all in all, this is good advice from the attorney my perception is this is a overly dramatic spicy letter. That’s probably not true but listen to the attorney not me.

This took a turn. Sounds like she wants to hear that she’s making a decision for herself without feeling guilty and for the most part, I think the plan was solid. Adding that last piece, I wish there was a name for it, but it sounded like she needed any reason to dump her guilt. Like great, and if this has any truth to it, you’re willing to move and let your daughter dictate who she stays with? Now I got questions and she’s under the microscope. I hope she’s just voicing a hidden fear and that guy is actually a good father.

She must stay in Canada and take the kids or at least the daughter to a different home in Canada. Mom can’t move to the us until daughter is self sufficient

Does he devalue the kids too? Chances are they've been emotionally abused by him too. Is the 17 yo going to college? could be good time for you to move both kids near campus.

Take the daughter with you to the states. She's young enough to make friends and enjoy school. The older one should stay and finish his senior year.

Being fmr single mom with 3 kids, out of the workforce at the time for years; children come first, I would suggest even if theres a whiff of the possibility of etc, their well being is paramount so I would make the hard choice of either staying in Canada until both are 18, or moving south & taking them with me. They're teenagers so the court from my understanding will hear out the children on what they'd rather do. My gut feeling is they'd rather stay where their friends and where they've lived their lives till now. I am so sorry you're going thru this, but I would take the attorney's advice, or stay close in some capacity.

It is my experience that a woman that makes such an implication or suggestion about their spouse without necessarily stating that they know it for fact, or whether they suspect it is that they have seen evidence that concerns them and leads them to believe it. I hope I'm wrong, but I think she just said that she knows that he would
