Part of the issue is drinking culture in Britain. Adults can't put the drink down for a few days to focus on their kids.

This ! I went to sandy bay last week just drunk parents and kids left to own devices in the arcade . Caravan holidays are for the kids why are parents getting that drunk can’t even look after their own kids madness x

I work at a holiday park and we have a whole training on what to do when it happens. We get more training on that than the actual work we’re doing

My mum found a random toddler with a full dirty nappy, had police and everything involved and when they found parent, the child screamed and didn’t want to go back. Haunts her to this day

This!! I had to call the police after I witnessed a mum punching her young son and calling him the most vile names. Luckily I managed to secretly film her and the police came and saw me to get the evidence. I dread to think how she treated him behind closed doors considering she did this all while surrounded by member of the public😔

Hi I used to work at haven, they have procedures in place for things like this. Always tell a member of staff, security if you can but any staff will do. We have training on signs of child abuse, county lines etc

Last year I reported grandparents smacking a 1 maybe 2year old for crying and walking too slow(it was 8.30pm kid was probably SHATTERED) and I posted it on here. The amount of people that thought it was perfectly acceptable behaviour BLEW MY MIND. Like wdym it’s fine? If my husband smacked me for walking too slow and crying he would be arrested?!?!?!

The amount of couples that are both drinking while looking after their kids scares me… a glass of wine with tea is fine but not pint after pint stumbling back to the van with 2 kids under 12!!

I’m a former safeguarding lead. The amount of referrals and incidents we would deal with following caravan park holidays was insane. Blackpool seemed to be such a hotspot in particular xx

we went camping and had a little 4 year old girl at our site the whole time, the parents never came out of their trailer and she would walk through the woods to the lake alone and ask for food and snacks throughout the day
