You’re right. The longer we wait the more angry I am at her. But I’m also for the first time envisioning the kids and wanting justice for them. She should want the worst punishment for herself.

If they declare a mistrial/hung jury and the prosecution decides to go again, how on earth are they going to find anyone that doesn’t know anything about this case and can remain unbiased? I’m in the UK and we’re all watching from here. I agree about the jury system as we have it here too but the only thing I find really strange is that the jury are chosen by each side in the US. We have random selection here and you get sent a letter to say you’ve been called, which court to go to and when.

Not tired at all. This case is so important. Only takes one with reasonable doubt + no motive = all 12 will never agree. What an overall mess.

In Canada the jury isn’t allowed to go home once deliberations start, they go to a hotel at the end of the day and have their phones taken away so they aren’t influenced by their families

The only issue I have with the jury system is….everything else, even the SCOTUS & Congress passes by majority vote. I think it should be revamped to allow a majority vote rather than unanimous

The American jury system is VITAL to our society and constitution. I hope the ones who are “so” against it never have to experience the State as judge jury and executioner. We should be so thankful this system exists. Period.
