I refer to myself as an inconvenience whenever I'm sick or need to see a doctor of some sort. It feels like my body is similar to a car that needs to be maintained in order for me to be functional.

My mother loved me to the best of her ability but she couldn’t tolerate it when I appeared unhappy - she would get angry and shame me for being unhappy. She never asked why or what’s wrong with me. I had to learn to figure it out for myself.

name cannot be blank :
what made it click for me was like, wanting to express any emotions to receive support so bad, and "letting it slip", then immediately following it with "I'm just being dramatic though, don't mind me, I'll be fine" like immediately minimizing my needs and alleviating the other person from "dealing" with my negative emotion(s)

I thought I was the only one who felt like I kinda didn't exist. Didn't knew it was a product of emotional neglect. I thought it was just me being weird.

The “living in a house kind of like roommates” feeling despite having all of my material needs met is something I’ve never really been able to like connect with anything before

In my most recent therapy session I started questioning if I’m actually as emotionally available as I think I am. I thought self aware=emotionally available but I’m realizing I’m wrong about that 🥲 I can talk about my emotions in a matter-of-fact way but realizing recently I don’t know how to build connection with them
