I guess I’m the Lone Ranger in these comments, because based on THIS part of the video, I don’t see what everyone is screaming “arrest her!” about. She had a firearm, acknowledged that she had it, and ultimately allowed the officer to take possession of it for safety. She also questioned why it needed to be removed and tried to protect her rights. Since when is questioning an officer or standing up for your rights grounds for arrest? What bothered me more was that they reached an agreement about where the firearm would be placed, she cooperated based on that agreement, and then once he had possession of it, he didn’t honor what he had just told her. Maybe something happens later in the video that changes my opinion. But based on what I watched here, exercising your rights and asking questions is not the same thing as resisting arrest or committing a crime. We shouldn’t be cheering for somebody to be arrested simply because they aren’t immediately surrendering every right they have.
