@north.idaho.made: Breakfast camping idea - pre make 2-3c rice, store in a gallon bag. Bring 5-7 eggs, some chopped bacon and seasoning salt. Fry up the bacon first, then add some butter and the rice, add eggs and seasoning. My mom used to call it rice and eggs. My kids call it rice and bacon. #campingfood #foodstorage #campingfoodideas #vacuumsealer #huntingseason @VEVOR Home Improvement

I’m gonna give you a free hint. Rice comes pre-dehydrated. You can just take it with you camping and rehydrate it on site.

if your kids call it rice and bacon....that means you added more bacon, which is an improvement for children and adults everywhere!

Yall - you can freeze rice 😭😭😭😭😭 bacteria doesn’t grow instantly……otherwise you’d get sick while eating it…fried rice literally calls for 1-2 day old refrigerated rice….?

Your rice is most definitely one solid break now, but for future reference, you should definitely let the rice cool

Here I am. A real adult. I leave my white rice on the stove over nice and use it the next day. Been doing this for over 25 years and never once have I been sick from it.

If you pre-freeze the rice it stays whole when vacuumed. I make big batches of fried rice that way and it comes out thawed looking the same as the day I made it. Remember, before you seal something it needs to be room temp or lower to prevent moisture build up which promotes disease and also freezer burn from the excess water breaking down the food inside

that's a very quick way to get sick btw, let it cool down before sealing it

everybody talking about how rice spoils so easily is fear mongering. they don't know anything about how long food takes to spoil. I've left cooked rice in the rice cooker for at least three days and it was still good. Just press the reheat button. any more than 3 days not refrigerated is pushing it.
