I’m of the opinion that the “borders” of the Bible refer to spiritual borders and nothing more. Land borders are arbitrary created by men.

Here's the thing. “Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s, and unto God the things that are God’s.” Matthew 22:21 This isn’t simply about “obey the government.” Jesus recognized legitimate civil authority while making it clear that God’s authority comes first. So with immigration, we can recognize a nation’s right to have borders and enforce its laws, while also recognizing our Christian duty to show mercy, compassion, and justice toward the immigrant, the stranger, and the person seeking refuge. The law matters. People matter. And neither Caesar nor our politics gets to replace God.
