My mom chose death with dignity. I’m an RN and she asked me to help her. Mixing up that drink, handing it to her, encouraging her to drink it all, watching her eyes roll back in her head and listening to her agonal breathing for 90 minutes was the worst gd thing ever. It took 6 months before I could go to sleep without reliving that whole day. It’s been a little over two years. I’m nowhere near the same person I used to be.
