@4grills4girls: Felt British, might delete later 😊🇬🇧 Here’s my first-ever attempt at proper fish & chips, using a few tips and tricks I picked up from some of my favorite UK chefs. For the fish, I kept it classic-ish: cod dunked in a light, crispy beer batter and fried until golden. Chips were thick cut and double fried for that crispy outside and fluffy center. I was able to elevate this classic dish thanks to my guy @nachocookin and @Talo Creations with their 100% grass fed, grass finished beef tallow that I used to fry both the beer-battered cod and the chips. Beer Batter recipe • 1 cup flour • 1 cup corn flour • 2 tbsp baking powder • 1 tbsp @am. SALT • 1 tbsp white pepper • 1 tbsp paprika • 1 tbsp onion powder • 1 tbsp garlic powder • Beer, added until the consistency resembles a thin pancake batter • 2 oz tequila or vodka Mix it up, dunk the cod, fry until golden and crispy and serve with those double-fried chips. Did I do my friends across the pond proud? How can I take this UK classic to the next level? Let me know in the comments below. 🇺🇸🇬🇧
