In America, it’s unheard of to not have a tumble dryer! The warm, soft, smell goodness after it’s finished is worth every penny!

I’m from the US. Near Boston and it is shocking to hear that it’s not the norm there to have a tumble dryer! I hang my shirts I don’t want shrinking, but you hang your towels and linens too? I need to get out more. I love watching you DESH up dinnur

I have a tumble, only use it in the winter and it heats my whole house so its a win win, it also doesn't cost much in electric at all ❤️

get a tumble dryer! best thing i’ve ever bought for my flat. Never had one before and wow it’s been a life saver. My electric bill has been fine and when it’s on, the light on my smart meter still stays green which means low usage. I’d recommend getting a condenser dryer where it collects the water and you have to empty it as it can go pretty much anywhere. I also recently bought these wool dryer balls from home bargains that make the clothes dry quicker so that’ll save you more money. This is the one i got in december it’s been brilliant xx

Don’t get a heat pump one. They take FOREVER to dry a load. Traditional ones can be expensive to run if you plan to use them for everything, but gets hot enough that a lot of items don’t need ironed after. Won’t get that with a heat pump.

If you have space for a tumble dryer it is worth it especially for bedding and towels during winter or putting some things in on a short spin to get bulk of the water out so they dry quicker. Noticed no difference in cost for electricity!! My dryer is Hover think and we had a condenser due to not needing to have ventilation to outdoors. Currys you are better going in person as they often have ex display and tend to give discounts in store when pay in store

i recently bought the £270 one from Curry's but it was 1/2 price as it was the display model. I haven't really looked at my energy usage but it definitely makes life easier.

ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE MONEY and the associated costs. I don’t use it for everything, little bits get hung up. But for bedding,jeans,jumpers so worth it

I'd say it's good to have one especially for bedding, towels and underwear. but use it at energy efficient times. like early in the morning or late at night.
