@sarahm.specials67: If your son can't do his own laundry by 10, that's not a flex — that's a failure 🤷‍♀️ Tell me I'm wrong, I dare you ☕️ #boymom #hotmomtake #toxicparenting #raisingboys #parentingtiktok.

Kinda like fathers telling their daughters they can’t do any wrong and that they are princesses and deserve everything handed to them on a silver platter. I mean it creates entitlement and honestly who wants to deal with a grown woman who demands everything they want and think they can do no wrong. I find boy moms and girl dads to be so freaking exhausting.

Again, another over generalization because people can’t understand individuals. Please stop

Correct. Working on teaching my boys, “do so well at taking care of yourself that you can also take care of others”.

Mom of a 13 year old boy here. He knows how to do laundry, clean, vacuum, cook (even took culinary in 7th), and knows how to care for the dog and cat. But he also sees my husband and I in an equal relationship where we both do things. And I’ve also taught him respect and boundaries, most importantly to protect his own respect and boundaries.

Some of them are nuts. We have nights where my sons cook for ME, and are expected to help woth their laundry and participate in cleaning the house. They are 11, 9 and 8 (oh and the 4 month old but of course hes not doing much these days) You aren't helpless and your girlfriend/wife is not your mother.

Can't be my kids. I hope everyone raises decent human beings, boys and girls. I always tell my boys who going to cook for you clean for you, if you single. No one! and even if you had someone, these are basic life skills. i know how to change a tire, do my own oil change etc etc. You never know what situation you will be put in and at the end of the day, when you find someone you work as a Team.

Boy Mom and I DID NOT raise my boys that way. They cook, clean and do their own laundry. As soon as they could they did. I prepared them for their wife's. But I will say this, I also raised them to NOT be doormat to anyone, no means no, that they are worthy of a healthy relationship just as much as a woman is. If we as boy moms need to raise them right so do girl moms. I also have a daughter who was raised the same way.

It goes both ways. And no one bats an eye at the overly obsessed girl dad who threatens little boys with weapons. Let’s start there.

As the mother of a 15 year old boy, the entitlement I see is on the young lady’s part. Y’all are something else lol

Boy mom here who did all of those things. Now he's a Marine, protecting our country, and expects his wife to mother him. So suck it.

They’re all so fucking weird. I am raising a boy to know that I’ll come for him if I ever get wind he is acting a fool to anyone. I am raising a boy to be kind, generous, hard working, altruistic, inclusive and to stand up and call out those behaving horrendously.

I raised three sons… they are 25,23 and 21… thankful this whole “boy mom” persona was not a thing back then. It is very odd. I see grown women wearing their sons’ sports jerseys like they are their boyfriend 😬 Bizarre. Parents should be striving to raise good human, boy or girl, and trying to be a good role model to them.

What boy moms are doing that? My 10yr old son already does his own laundry, knows how to cook basic things (pancakes, scrambled eggs) and cleans up after himself. Hes cares more about other people's feelings than he should. Im also trying to teach him to not let other people take advantage of him because I know when he gets older some of y'alls daughters will try to.
