I’m gender fluid but I was born a girl but I’m not just a girl because i see myself as non binary and he too so clearly that’s how it works 😭 but colonisation ruined this and put us into traditional gender roles and it pains me 🙃

i cant stand these modern westen focused readings of history in other parts of the world. you CANNOT fairly analyse indian history and culture through a modern, western queer lense because they aren't the same, they might look the same from the outside, but further than absolute surface level everything is different. Its genuinely a disservice to actual history or womens right and queer history to engage with history this way. furthermore, the reason Britain sought to change south asian culture wasn't because "they wanna make society sexist and hate trans ppl" it was in an attempt to dismantle the caste system, something which still negativity effects hundreds of millions today

it's still amazing how effective this propaganda was and continues to be, I mean in no other area of human nature do we enforce such strict boundaries of what can be, we accept that people can be born with different skin colours, eye colours, hair texture, personality etc, but then we for some reason fool ourselves into thinking that human diversity stops at gender.

It is a very weighted reading of one aspect of history. Even the separation on gender/sex roles is very forceful and rejects the power dynamics within the sexes and their performative roles.
