Everything that’s been going on was the final straw for me to quit this game; the missions are way too long, and I practically can't deal decent damage with the characters I actually like! I play with Yoimiya in Genshin and even though she's an older character I can still put out decent damage without needing a bunch of 5-stars

rememberance brought hp inflation but even back then it was clearable with other paths. how the devs didn't stop to think about the longterm damage of boosting enemy and boss hp is beyond me. more health ≠ more challenging, its just more time consuming, which doesn't work for this game. everything is 'finish in x amount of cycles'. you either don't do the endgame or you spend money. now the base kits are at e2, but even then you're not guaranteed to clear it. phainon and cyrene's banner just left a little over a month ago—they're both e2s1 and they can't clear it. to put that into perspective: i spent $540 to get two of the game's strongest characters and they can't clear endgame. that's INSANE.

What's also frustrating is HSR is objectively the worst at including older characters into new content. Genshin sucked for a while but finally started to incorporate Mondstadt characters back into the story and events (and the meta with the Hexenzirkel buffs, new reactions, etc). I'm new to ZZZ so I'm not sure what the order of release the events are, but I still see old characters pop up randomly when I start an event I didn't mean to start. HSR? Would you believe me if I say this racing event is the first time Gepard has been in an event since pretty much the start of the game? (The only other time he was in an event was the Luminary Wardance event, and that hardly really counts since WE didn't even see him, it was just flashbacks from Luka's POV). Like yeahh.. hard to just look past the terrible HP inflation and meta shilling when I can't even use my favorites to distract myself from the problems like I can with their other games 😬 but hey, I started shipping Argenti and Gepard when Argenti released, and FINALLY got to see them interact years later I guess?

As someone still playing this game, keeping up with meta, and not pulling elation because I didn’t like any of the characters until Aventurine SP. I legit only still play this game because it requires such little time investment compared to other gatchas

I started playing at launch. I did not make it past penacony. I am not a experienced gamer. I learn on the fly. the intricacies of each character and the blocks for normal fights made it so hard to just tough the battle out and wait for the end. mind you I got several characters that were meta. I stopped playing mid penacony becouse it just felt too long. unlike genshin where if I didnt pull for a patch (ex natlan) I would be fine and would be able to win all fights. I was a kaeya main up until nahida was released. then I onlt got navia and columbina as "meta" characters. my teams are weak as hell bur I can power through 90% of important content. I cant do theater, past level 3 on onslaught and floor 12 of abyss. thats such a good like number tho! I can tough out any and all battles if I need too. I cant do that in hsr. id get punished for sticking to a less meta char which was well invested, build and loved!

I love star rail so much so it really sucks to see it go so downhill. I could comfortably clear starward mode each time before this new one. And this one I just can’t, and I have invested into elation it just feels like since I don’t have eidolons on them because I was more focused on the characters I love I’m being punished for it. They NEED to buff more old characters and actually make them good buffs, it’s crazy how after most of the buffs the characters are still completely forgotten save for a few of them. They also need more events per patch, since they’re usually not time gated either most can get them

A big thing I wish was different is for a game thats turn based, you’d think it’d require a bit of strategy and thought process. But no it’s just get character to get good at the game simulator. And that doesn’t mean i think other hoyo games are very skillful, but it just makes the gameplay so much more boring. Like at least in Genshin and Zzz I have to dodge attacks, or balance cool-downs. And it doesn’t help that I want to experience the story of any game I play so when hsr take 10 years to explain some niche lore that’ll never come up again, it doesn’t exactly make me excited to play again.

I have played the game since release and genuinely thinking of quiting because of the terrible writing that was the last 4 quests and actual cancer that is the end game. I havent been able to fully clear for a few months now after basically clearing since release. no I probably wont actually quit but ive lost all enjoyment for the game

And it saddens me because I enjoyed Luofu and Penacony to the moon and back. Amphoreus is where it slowly started going downhill for me. They started making questionable decisions with banner placements, certain character kits being locked behind eidolons, and most importantly, not evolving the story presentation animations enough for a deep and we'll thought out story. Not to mention the shills were getting worse each patch. In Planarcadia? It got THREE TIMES WORSE. The story is just alright, the presentation is still very lackluster, and the shills have gotten worse. EVEN FOR THE PATH THAT IS MEANT TO BENEFIT FROM IT. I just feel very sad cause I used to love this game so much. Not anymore 💔

This is such a non issue anymore. yeah we get no 4 stars but we get so many FREE 5 stars that its essentially way easier to build an account. with most of those free 5 stars getting uberbuffed to the point they are just a 'make the game a joke' button up until a certain point in the end game. seriously the people that complain about 4 stars just don't play the game at all... event and mechanic bloat sure, but getting a 4 star that will get powercrept in the patch they release in will not help you at all, and then the complains will just switch to 4 stars being underpowered compared to 5 stars, so why even bother? Like aside from all the crybabies on twitter, by just doing your dalies and the event, without even maxing out endgame you will get plenty of jades and materials

In hsr even if you get, build the charavters correctly it isnt enough, the end game is straight up unfun, and the fact the comunity onle says "get their eidolons, they are very generous" while they only 90 pulls almost every patch which is only enough for one 5 star, they act as is of Hsr os gifting new powerful characters every patch

People calling Genshin the least generous, but that’s because they don’t have terrible power creep. Units from 2-4 years ago are still very much usable and meta. And even a few from launch (Klee, venti, fishcl, sucrose, razor) are usable in today’s meta, which makes up for the fact that we get so few pulls
