Not to be a huge nerd but 2012 Before Fazbear would be 2012 (yes, 2012, calendar Eras don’t use a year zero(more on that later)) years before FNAF came out, not 2012 AD. FNAF came out in 2014 AD so 2012 years before that would be 2 AD (or 2024 years ago). What you’d wanna say is “How Slenderman was genuinely moving in 2 B.F.” which would be 2 years before FNAF came out, AKA 2012. That of course is if you mean the release of the 8 pages, which definitely thrusted slenderman into the public eye, but as far as I know he had been circulating online as early as 2009 (5 B.F.). Calendar dates work like positive and negative numbers originating on the year we think Jesus was born. The reason there’s no zero is because at the time this system of telling the year was invented, the concept of zero had not reached Europe, and by the time it did, it had already stuck. This is because you don’t start counting from zero, you start from one. So it goes 3 BC, 2 BC, 1 BC, right to 1 AD, 2 AD, 3 AD et cetera. You start counting backwards from the point of origin. Hope that made sense!
