@livingwellwithdrmichelle: In dental school, I was taught that if I ever told a patient mercury fillings could affect their health, I'd lose my license. That's the training every dentist gets. What we were never taught was that the mercury in the silver fillings I was removing every day could actually be affecting my own health. When a colleague first asked if I'd looked into mercury poisoning, I pushed back. I didn't have any silver fillings myself. He pointed out it wasn't the fillings I had, it was the ones I'd been drilling out with no protection for over a decade. I got tested. Mercury toxicity off the charts. That was the beginning of learning there's a right way and a very wrong way to remove these fillings. Save this and share it with a friend who's thinking about getting old fillings removed. #mercuryfillings #amalgam #holisticdentist #biologicaldentistry #safefillingremoval #dentalhealth #naturaldental #cleanliving #wellness #rootcause #dentisttok #healthstory

I have seen dentists use appropriate protection when removing mercury fillings in a family member. O2 nose mask on patient, dam in the mouth to keep rinsing liquid from going down the throat, suction device in the entire time. Protective O2 masks on dentist & assistant. Large doses of Vit C, etc for a week prior, chelation & binders afterward. This was 20yrs ago….some dentists have known & removed safely. Also test any “hardware” or fillings for individual reactivity: considered safe, mercury free fillings does not mean safe for every person…their bodies don’t accept, like different allergies in some people.
