@toshamarie_: Can we normalize moms asking for help without feeling like we’re admitting we’re failing? Especially as a first-time mom, there’s so much fear around saying, “I’m struggling.” We worry people will judge us or think we aren’t doing a good enough job, so we try to be brave and figure it all out ourselves. I finally asked my pediatrician for help with the cost of formula for my twins, and they gave us SO many resources. And it reminded me: asking for help doesn’t mean you’re failing your kids. It means you’re advocating for them. Motherhood is hard enough. We need to make asking for help feel normal. 🤍

It’s such a relief to finally find a formula that suits your baby. We went through a few before finding one that worked. One of the formula brands (Enfamil?) will send a “welcome home” sample box. It had like six different kinds of formula in the small cans. So a decent amount to try each and coupons. None worked for us. But it helped us try before spending $$$.

You just gave me such a flashback - we ended up switching ob-gyns a couple of times when my wife was pregnant and at each visit with them and then at my son's pediatrician we got "new parent" gift totes that included a coupon for a container of Enfamil. So, we ended up with, like, 3 or 4 of these. He'll be 16 this month and I'm still riding that high. 😆
