@helpmeexitvi: We are back with another Kubernetes lesson for Oatmeal! In Kubernetes, durable storage is provided through three resources that work together: StorageClasses, PersistentVolumes (PVs), and PersistentVolumeClaims (PVCs). A StorageClass defines what type of storage should be created, such as a cloud disk or network file system, and any settings for that storage. A PersistentVolume is the actual storage resource available in the cluster. A PersistentVolumeClaim is a request for storage made by an application. When a PVC is created, Kubernetes uses the StorageClass to create or find a matching PV and then connects it to the Pod. Because the data lives on the PV, it remains available even if the Pod restarts or is replaced. #catsandkubernetes #k8s #Tech
