A university isn't meant to teach you everything you'll need for the rest of your career. Its purpose is to give you a strong foundation critical thinking, discipline, and core knowledge that enables you to learn and adapt throughout your professional life. Most practical skills are gained on the job, and I learned from everyone I worked with, whether they were senior to me or junior. But without that foundation, learning and growth become much harder. Saying a degree has no value simply ignores the role higher education is designed to play. As for Haramaya University goes, its standards declined after the 1990s, so perhaps you were part of that generation.
